Detection is free forever
You only pay when we recover money that was already lost
Free detection and a free historical audit. A success fee applies only to dollars actually clawed back — if nothing is recoverable, FeeGuard costs nothing.

Common questions
- Does FeeGuard touch our payment flow?
- No. Detection uses read-only Stripe scopes and runs off webhooks you already send. Write scopes are optional and only used for clawbacks you approve — or, if you turn on automation, for high-confidence findings under rules you set.
- What happens to our Stripe key?
- It is encrypted with AES-256-GCM under a key derived specifically for your organization, and stored only as ciphertext. It is decrypted inside server-side workers immediately before a Stripe call and is never sent to a browser.
- What if you find nothing?
- Then your reconciliation is already correct, the audit told you so at no cost, and you owe nothing. That is a real outcome and we would rather you know it than pay a retainer to find out.
- How is the recovery fee calculated and billed?
- The fee is 15% of funds that actually return to your Stripe balance — measured from the reversal or fee refund confirmed by Stripe, not from what we estimated. Recoveries you decline are never billed, and neither are findings you resolve yourself. Invoiced monthly in arrears against the previous month's confirmed recoveries.
- What counts as a recovery?
- A transfer reversal or application-fee refund that FeeGuard initiated and Stripe confirmed. If a reversal fails because the connected account has no balance, it is not a recovery and is not billed unless and until the funds clear.
- Can we self-host?
- The stack runs on Vercel, Supabase, and Upstash. Get in touch at support@feeguard.dev if it needs to sit inside your own infrastructure.
