Terms of Service

The agreement between you and us. Three clauses are worth reading twice: connect only a Stripe account you are authorized to manage, automatic recovery only ever runs on a rule you turn on, and a clean audit is not a certificate of anything.

Who this is with

These terms are between you and Veristria, a Norwegian aksjeselskap (AS) under incorporation (24 August 2026), based in Norway, which operates FeeGuard. “We” and “us” mean that company; “the service” means feeguard.dev and everything on it.

Using the service means you accept these terms. If you are agreeing for a company, you are confirming you are allowed to.

What the service does

FeeGuard reconciles the charges, transfers, application fees and disputes on a Stripe Connect platform, flags where they no longer add up, and can automatically reverse a transfer or refund an application fee to recover a flagged gap. The free audit needs no account: paste event or charge data and it returns your recoverable baseline. Paid monitoring watches your account in real time.

It is a reconciliation tool. It does not modify your Stripe account unless you explicitly enable automatic recovery for a specific rule.

Connect only what you are authorized to manage

By connecting a Stripe key you confirm that you own the Stripe account or have permission from its owner to connect and monitor it. You are responsible for that permission and for the consequences of connecting an account you were not entitled to connect.

The restricted key we ask for is deliberately narrow, and permission checks never create or change anything in your account — that is a constraint on us, not a license for you to share a credential you do not control.

We may refuse or suspend a connection where we believe this is being broken.

What we do with what you submit

Data you paste into the free audit is not stored; the detectors run against it and nothing persists after the response reaches your browser. Once you connect an account, what we retain is described in the privacy policy. Everything you submit stays yours — we claim no ownership over your Stripe data or your findings — and we may use aggregate, de-identified statistics about detections to improve the product.

Accounts

You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping access to it secure. Tell us promptly if you think someone else is in your account. Invite colleagues to your organization rather than sharing one login.

Subscriptions, billing and the recovery fee

Monitoring is billed monthly or annually through Stripe at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel. Taxes are added where they apply. Cancel any time from the billing portal in your settings — no email, no retention conversation. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep the plan until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Where you turn on automatic recovery for a rule, FeeGuard also charges a success fee on the funds it actually recovers through that rule — currently 20% of the first $50,000 recovered, then 15% after that, detailed on the pricing page. The fee is charged only when a recovery succeeds; a flagged discrepancy that is never recovered costs nothing beyond the subscription.

If a price or fee changes we will tell you before it applies to you.

Refunds

Subscription payments are not automatically refundable, but we will not argue with you over a period you did not use. If the product did not work, if you were billed after cancelling, or if you subscribed by mistake and have not used it, email us and we refund it. Where consumer law gives you a right of withdrawal, that applies on top of this.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to:

  • connect a Stripe account you do not own or have permission to manage;
  • work around the rate limits or overload our infrastructure;
  • resell, white-label or redistribute the service, or scrape it to build a competing dataset;
  • break the law or infringe anyone else’s rights.

We can suspend an account doing any of this. Where the situation allows, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.

What a clean audit does not mean

Finding nothing means our detectors found no discrepancy in the data available to them. It is not a certificate, an audit in the regulatory sense, or a statement that your Connect integration is otherwise correct. Detection covers a documented set of discrepancy types — unreversed transfers, unadjusted application fees, uncovered dispute losses, FX slippage — and nothing outside them.

We do not provide legal, financial, tax or compliance advice, and nothing we produce is a compliance certification.

The service is provided as it is, without warranties beyond those the law gives you and does not let us exclude. We work hard on uptime; we do not promise a specific availability level.

Liability

If something goes wrong

If we cause you loss, what we owe is capped at what you paid us in fees in the twelve months before the event — or nothing, if you have paid us nothing. We are not liable for indirect losses: lost profit, lost revenue, lost data, or a discrepancy an audit did not catch.

This does not limit liability we are not allowed to limit — death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything mandatory law reserves. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights come first.

Ending it

You can disconnect your Stripe account and delete your FeeGuard account at any time. We can end this agreement with reasonable notice, or immediately if you break the acceptable-use rules. If we end it for our own reasons, we refund the unused part of what you paid.

Changes to these terms

We update this page as the product changes and move the date at the top with it. For a change that materially affects a paying customer we give notice by email before it takes effect, and you can cancel if you do not accept it.

Law and venue

Norwegian law governs this agreement and the Norwegian courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in the EEA you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in, and you can bring a claim there.
